Previous Research Includes:

Research Title: Conflict Resolution in the Classroom: The Peace Box Research Year: 2009 Research Classification: Student Support/Enrichment Research Summary: Define best practices to create a “Peace Box” program for every classroom to assist students in becoming peaceful problem solvers. The program provides teachers and students with a research based method for quelling classroom conflicts without having to send students to the principals office or to the school counselor. Also, the program empowers students by teaching them to solve conflicts in fair ways. Eventually the students will be able to do this without teacher/counselor help. This will greatly minimize the amount of classroom/teacher time taken to solve fights and tiffs. This project is still in the introductory stages and will take at least one more year to complete.
