Alison Provan, MetLife Fellow
Alison Provan has taught Kindergarten and first grade in Chicago and Ithaca, NY.
This is her first year at an public elementary school outside Washington, D.C.
She has also worked as an admissions counselor for Cornell University’s Hotel School.
Originally from North Carolina, she received her undergraduate degree in Developmental Psychology from Duke University as a Benjamin N. Duke University Scholar.
She went on to earn her Master of Education in reading education from Peabody College at Vanderbilt University.
She is interested in integrating technology into all aspects of her instruction and using the Responsive Classroom approach to teaching the social curriculum.
